On an overcast but dry Friday at the end of November, Yeovil’s Recreational ground played host to this year’s Partnership Championships for the English Schools FA small sided competition. With a total of 19 teams attending from all over South East Somerset, the scene was set for a busy and entertaining afternoon. |

On 20th November Frome played host to the first round of the Key Stage 4 Boys’ event, supported by three teams from Whitstone and a team from Ansford. |

The 4th December saw the culmination of the Year 6 Fun Activity Club. Matt Croucher from SASP had been working with a selection of pupils from Our Lady’s Catholic Primary School and Wincanton Primary School for 8 weeks. All previous sessions had been held in the Primary schools, with the final session hosted at King Arthur’s School. |

The last finals event of this year’s football central venue league competition saw the year 8s playing once again in a triangular match, which turned out to be the closest event of all the year groups. The first match between Westfield and Ansford was played in the midfield, with few shots on goal. Westfield, making the most of the slight slope in the second half, eventually put together a good break on the right, which broke down to a foul on the edge of the box. A well taken free kick from the striker put Westfield one up, which they held on to, and won 1-0. |
