Primary Schools Fun Run at Holyrood

Holyrood Community School played host to the Primary Schools ‘Fun Run’ on 10th March. A total of 76 (33 girls and 43 boys) young athletes, from 6 primary schools (Ashill, Buckland, Chard, Manor Court, Tatworth and Winsham), participated in a cross country run around the school fields, they were led around by Holyrood students.

The U9’s competed over 900m and the team winners were Buckland (girls) and Chard (boys). The U11’s competed over 1400m and the team winners were Tatworth (girls) and Buckland (boys).
 
 
 

 School sports co-ordinator, Jason Hedaux, would like to thank participating schools for attending. Events, like these, help schools to contribute to national targets in school-sport, such as working towards the 3 hour offer and inter school competition.
