The partnership works with numerous organisations to deliver a strategic approach to the delivery of Physical Education, School Sport, healthy active lifestyle promotion and club development, both nationally and across the South East Somerset and Mendip area.
As well as the National Governing Bodies (NGB) of all sports the Partnership also works with the Sports Development units based in South Somerset and Mendip District Councils.
The partnership also networks extensively with other School Sport Partnerships (SSP) across the country, particularly with the Tone Partnership based in Taunton and the Sedgemoor School Sport Alliance based in Highbridge.

The fund can help you overcome barriers to achieving your sporting potential. Applicants must be aged 25 or younger. You should have reached at least county level (or equivalent) in your sport, and need financial assistance to reach a higher level. You can apply for up to 80% of your costs per year for any costs associated with developing sporting potential, for example equipment, competition fees and travel expenses. British Gymnastics Fundamental Movement
Developed by British Gymnastics, the ‘FUNdamental Movement Ideas for Early Years’ scheme has been designed to help young people enjoy physical exercise. The emphasis is on ‘FUN’, and our ‘Funky Cat’ character and his family introduces a wide range of physical activities based around 16 different themes. Designed for children from walking to 6 years, the activities will help children to learn basic movement skills with the experience of managing their bodies, and incorporates the pleasure of moving and listening to music.

Tennis Skills to Music
